“if you are a Salsa lover, then…..you ARE a SALSAMANTE!

As soon as Michael-Paul Newman was introduced to the Salsa over 10 yrs ago, he fell in love. After moving to Columbus in 2009, he realized that the Salsa community in Columbus was in need of a Saturday night event to accommodate the growing number of people who wanted to learn and dance the Salsa. After meeting his talented dance partner, Daniela Vrabelova, who was trained to Salsa in Barcelona, Spain, and inspired by her beautiful spirit for the Salsa, his passion for Salsa grew even more. Over time, Michael-Paul and Carlos Rubio, who had become friends in the Salsa community, decided to work together to bring Salsamante to the city of Columbus, and Daniela V. created the name, Salsamante, which means, Salsa Amante, or Salsa Lover, becoming Salsamante. So, are you ready to become a SALSAMANTE!

The group class is taught by Carlos Rubio, the Salsa King of Ohio. In this class you will learn everything you need to know to dance the Salsa, plus more!  Ray Ritmo, a Latin legend in Columbus, is the DJ for Salsamante offering the best in Latin music. “Salsmantes” will learn how to dance the salsa, develop new and lasting friendships, and gain the experience needed to be confident, social dancers in the Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, and other Latin forms of dance.
